The Big Sync
Inspired by the London Summer of Sport, Aquabatix and swimming clubs across London have joined forces to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest mass participation synchronised swimming routine ever – The Big Sync.
The Big Sync will involve 100 Londoners from across the capital performing a choreographed synchronised swimming routine at the London Fields Lido in Hackney.

Can I take part?
Apologies but registrations for The Big Sync are now closed but why not come along on the day to show your support and cheer the swimmers on. You can even try out your water skills and have a go at synchronised swimming after the world record has taken place by signing up to one of our free ‘come and try’ sessions.
Are spectators permitted to watch The Big Sync?
Yes. The event starts at 12noon but please arrive no later than 11:50am to gain access to the venue. Please note that there are limited spectator spaces available.
Free ‘come and try’ synchronised swimming sessions
If you think you have what it takes to get synchronised and would like to test out your water skills, then bring along your swimming kit to have some fun in the pool after The Big Sync world record attempt has taken place.
During the ‘come and try’ synchronised swimming sessions you will learn how to swim to music and try out some basic movements that are guaranteed to impress your family and friends next time you hit the pool. The sessions are free of charge and will last 30 minutes.
Session times:
13:15 to 13:45pm
13:50 to 14:20pm
14:25 to 14:55pm
How do I register for the ‘come and try’ synchronised swimming sessions?
Register for the come and try sessions.
You can also just turn up on the day and dive in.
All swimmers under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
