Mastermap
| OS Mastermap is an intelligent digital map designed by Ordnace Survey for use with geographic information systems(GIS and Databases. Based on the National Grid, it includes topographic information on every landscape feature – buildings, roads, phone boxes, postboxes, landmarks – and represents a significant evolution from traditional cartography. OS MasterMap depicts the real–world digitally and presents this comprehensive, advanced information as themes in a series of layers, each layer carrying millions of features. Each feature has its own unique identifier or TOID® – a 16–digit reference number that can be shared with other users across different applications and systems. This allows easy data association and greater accuracy, focusing on real–world objects on the map. | Ordnance Survey Mapping with the permission of the Controller of Her Majesty's Stationery Office© Crown Copyright. LSG
| Streets are part of the borough’s infrastructure through which many citizen centred services are provided. There are therefore a range of street related issues such as congestion, capacity planning, street works, accidents, incidents and maintenance which affect them. A core dataset which records all of them, and their attributes is essential. LSG is the definitive reference system used in the notification process and cordination of street works. Under legislation, each local highway authority in England and Wales is required to create and maintain its own Local Street Gazetteer (LSG) and Associated Street Data (ASD). These are then compiled into the only master index built to the national standard BS 7666, for access by a number of other organisations via the NSG online hub and managed by Intelligent Addressing. | Licensed by Local Government Information House. © Crown copyright and/or database right, 2008. Postcode Polygons
| Code-Point polygons are produced by tessellating individual address records from ADDRESS-POINT® and selectively clipping them, where appropriate, to roads, railways, rivers and so on. They are also nested within the sector boundaries prescribed by Royal Mail®. Code-Point polygons enclose every fully-matched address in the correct boundary and are significantly more accurate than previous products of this type. | Ordnance Survey Mapping with the permission of the Controller of Her Majesty's Stationery Office© Crown Copyright. It provides a scanned image of street-level mapping that can be combined with other data in a geographical information system (GIS), enabling you to clearly visualise a wide range of information in a geographical context. The street-level detail of OS Street View makes it particularly useful for displaying and analysing data about specific localities. | Ordnance Survey Mapping with the permission of the Controller of Her Majesty's Stationery Office© Crown Copyright.
