myplace

What is myplace?

Hackney Council, in partnership with The Learning Trust, has been awarded nearly £5 million to upgrade three existing youth centres and build two completely new youth centres over the next two years. The programme is being funded through the government’s myplace programme.

The new centres will be

  • Safe – a place for all young people to relax and have fun
  • Exciting – with a range of activities and support available
  • Different – the centres will be unlike any youth centre you’ve seen before

Where are the new centres?

There are five new centres, one in each of Hackney’s four neighbourhoods, and a flagship centre at Forest Road, in the heart of the borough. To find out more visit the Young Hackney website.
