The Council is in the process of implementing an e-tendering system to improve and increase the efficiency of the procurement process. We will also be using the London Tenders Portal and Contracts finder to advertise some of our contracts.

All current and potential suppliers interested in doing business with the Council, are encouraged to take time to register for this service. The service, which is free for suppliers, will enable you to tender for Hackney contracts and a number of other London authorities. You will receive automatic notifications when new opportunities are posted that you may be interested in.

Once you have accessed the ProContract opportunities portal you will be able to access supplier guides to help you through the registration process.

Prior information notices (PINs)

The Council may from time to time publish a prior information notice (PIN). A PIN is an annual or occasional advertisement in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) advising contractors, suppliers and service providers of the contracting authority's future procurement plans which would individually exceed the contract threshold and exceed, in aggregate, the PIN threshold of €750,000 (about £625,050). Works contracts subject to the rules may each be the subject of a PIN as soon as the intention is formed to take the project forward We may also publish contract specific PINs to alert the market to forthcoming opportunities.

PINs are not invitations for you to apply for inclusion on tender lists. This happens when the contract notices are issued.
