We use the London Tenders Portal ProContract eTendering system for our tenders. This starts with the advertising of a requirement through to award of contract, including the exchange of tender-related documentation and communication.
All current and potential suppliers interested in doing business with the Council, are encouraged to register for this free service.
All suppliers are manually vetted, so please register within business hours (9am-5pm) and allow 24 hours for your registration to be completed. If you have any issues, please contact the helpdesk.
The service will enable you to tender for Hackney contracts and also contracts for other London authorities and the public sector. Other advantages include:
- 24/7 access to view and respond to tender opportunities
- access to supplier guides
- automatic notification of tendering opportunities, giving you more time to prepare your responses
- reduced tendering costs
- reduced time on completing tender responses
- reduced overheads on printing, copying, collating and postage/courier services
- potentially longer lead times
- online access to all tender documents
- easier and swifter response to queries during the tender process
For auditing purposes, and fairness to other bidders, we can only accept and respond to queries via the messaging function in ProContract. Please note: queries will be answered within business hours.
Current tender opportunities for Hackney can be found on the portal, or below.

This is an open approved list and therefore there is no closing date for applications.
The Council may from time to time publish a prior information notice (PIN). A PIN is an annual or occasional advertisement in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) advising contractors, suppliers and service providers of the contracting authority's future procurement plans which would individually exceed the contract threshold and exceed, in aggregate, the PIN threshold of €750,000 (about £625,050). Works contracts subject to the rules may each be the subject of a PIN as soon as the intention is formed to take the project forward We may also publish contract specific PINs to alert the market to forthcoming opportunities.
PINs are not invitations for you to apply for inclusion on tender lists. This happens when the contract notices are issued.

We endeavour to keep the information up-to-date and correct, but this may not be a full list of contracts let by the Council and it is not in any particular order.
Its publication is not intended to indicate any recommendation or preference for any particular organisation that does, or does not, appear on the list.
